Wedding Flower Arrangements For a Winter Wedding

Wedding Flower Arrangements For a Winter Wedding

The most popular winter wedding flower is the red rose, closely followed by red tulips and mums. The color red seems to have a great deal of significance for winter weddings. Perhaps it is the need for some color other than white especially if you live in a snowy part of the world.

However, if red is not your color and roses, tulips or mums are not your favorite flower then you are in luck with the help of crepe or mulberry paper you can create wedding flower arrangements for a winter wedding out of any color and any flower your heart desires!

Whether you are making your bridal bouquet, toss away bouquet, female bridal partys' bouquets or the flower girls basket or centerpieces for the tables you can add a lovely touch of winter wonderland to them all.

Many brides spend most of their time concentrating on the actual flowers and colors when they make their own crepe or mulberry paper flowers. There are so many other items you can add to the flower arrangements that they are often overlooked.

These overlooked items can add so much to your flower arrangements and give them all a life of their own. Listed below are a few additional items you can consider adding to your flower arrangements.

  • Colorful berries that come in little clusters add a special touch of elegance to any floral arrangement. They come in numerous colors and sizes. They can be purchased at floral shops, bridal shops and in department stores. Just look in the home decor section and there they are. These berry clusters usually come with a pin or a wire so you can easily attach then to the flower arrangements.
  • For your maid of honor and bridesmaids bouquets or colorful centerpieces snow berries are the perfect accent to liven up the flower arrangement. Snow berries are very similar to the colorful berries mentioned above except they are snow white; they shine and really make a statement all there own.
  • Mistletoe and holly berries are another option to add elegance to your winter wedding flowers. Everyone knows mistletoe is known for its magical properties of fertility and as an aphrodisiac. If nothing else it will add a lovely touch of color to the flowers and act as a conversation piece.
  • Pine cones decorated with small flowers and placed in a candle holder style container with a small flower wreath surrounding the base of the container make a beautiful inexpensive, quick and easy to make table centerpiece. You can also paint the pine cone a snow-white color and add a string of beads to enhance its natural beauty. A perfect flower arrangement centerpiece for nature lovers!
  • Sprinkle your crepe and mulberry paper flowers with some snow like glitter this will make them sparkle and glisten like they have had a little snow shower.
All five of the above will certainly enhance and give your wedding a nice flair of color to liven up your wedding flower arrangements for a winter wedding!
